Roles and Responsibility of a Lab Technician:

  • A medical laboratory technician is responsible for the handling of all medical gear and responsible for performing fundamental laboratory technique and recording the medical data.
  • A medical laboratory technician should be an expert in catching any medical flaws and sickness of a patient’s body.
  • Apart from working in labs, a lab technician books into the requirement in the field and establish industrial assortments such as the latest gadgets and technology.
  • A medical lab technician is responsible for passing down the medical observation to pathologists or equivalent professionals, by writing down the findings, safely storing the specimen, collecting clinical specimen and labelling clinical specimen.
  • A medical lab technician also assists in deciding health priorities and offer/suggest effective preventive/control measures to prevent the disease. This can be done only by providing genuine and accurate information in response to the treatment.
  • A medical lab technician can also apply all the problem-solving techniques to administrate the technical and research problems strategically.

Financial Assistance :-

Fee reimbursement upto ₹ 30,000/- for candidates having family income less than ₹ 5,00,000/- (Five Lakhs) per annum under schemes offered by Central Govt./ State Govt.  or World Education Mission subject to compliance of prescribed terms and conditions.


Fee reimbursement upto ₹ 1,00,000/- for APST candidates having family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) per annum under schemes offered by Central Govt./ State Govt.  subject to compliance of prescribed terms and conditions.
